New Black Belts!
- By Deborah Dera
- Published 06/20/2008
On Saturday, June 14th, 2008, Moo Duk Kwan Martial Arts LLC hosted its first Black Belt test on the floor of the new school.Nine long-time students participated in a grueling 9-hour exam and everyone came out relatively unscathed in the end. We now have some very excited new First Degree Black Belts within the Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan USA association!
Black Belts from all over came to support the students throughout their exam, including Master Blair's instructor Grand Master Eugene Perceval. At the end of the test, Grand Master Perceval spoke to the Black Belts about his own history in the martial arts and then everyone was honored to be present as he announced that Master Blair has been promoted to 8th Dan!
Congratulations to Master Blair and all of the new Black Belts!

What is Tapping?
- By Forrest Blair

You'll learn quickly that I spend a good deal of time researching different aspects of the martial arts along with a number of health and fitness topics.
The other day I covered the subject of EFT and Tapping on my personal blog at fgblair dot com.
Tapping is described as a way to relieve both physical and emotional pain and discomfort. I've been practicing the technique for a couple of weeks now and have had great results.
Check out my blog for more information or visit www.tapping.com to see a free video of how to apply the technique to yourself. It's worth checking out.
Quantity vs Quality

I think many school owners and instructors have gotten away from the teaching or instructing side of martial arts. Some seem to be more concerned about their testing numbers and fees rather than are their students comprehending and executing techniques properly. We were actually told by a former school owner to NOT retest anybody. This person didn't want the parents upset because then they would pull their children out of class and he would loose money. I couldn't believe this. Did I say FORMER?

I had been without a school to call home for some time now and just this past week I ran across my instructors wife while waiting at the red box...What was funny is that i didn't even say hi..I just said..I need Mr. Franks number....I was to excited to be proper!...I had lost touch of my intructor since i had a really bad leg injury that put me out for months and he had moved and chnaged his numbers. anyway...so i just checked out the new school which is going on 2 yrs established and it awesome!...10,000 sq ft and enough equipment we could open a retail store. Once i get my camera i'll make sure to get some pics on here for everyone! I hung out yesterday at the school helping paint and move some thing s around as they are still working on the space and have already been appointed demo team Captin!..who hoo..This is gona be a great year!
