YOUTH VICTORY PARTY: The New England Open "Youth Victory Party" will be held immediately following the conclusion of the "Black Belt Superstar Finals" at Zachary's at the Royal Plaza Hotel from 10:00pm to 1:00am. Disc jockey and dancing! (location and times subject to change)
RULES: NASKA Rules for Black Belt Divisions. KRANE Rules for Color Belt (Under Black Belt) Divisions.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
In all adult and youth fighting divisions, competitors must use and supply their own approved hand and foot foam safety equipment, headgear, protective cups (males), and mouthpieces. In addition, all youth fighting competitors must use and supply their own full chest protection and face shields. Rib guards are insufficient. The chest protector must completely cover the sternum. Adult fighting competitors are strongly urged to wear full chest protection and face shields. Foam shin guards, forearm pads, and groin protection (females) are highly recommended. Knuckle punch is not allowed in any division.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES: All competitors must retain on their person, verification of age (i.e. birth certificate, driver's license, etc.) The competitor must be able to produce it upon request or risk disqualification and forfeit all fees and awards.
EMTS/TRAINERS:
Ted Plamondon, E.M.T. and Associates will be on hand to render emergency medical assistance. They will also be available to provide professional taping services.
MEDIA COVERAGE: Local and regional media as well as national martial arts publications will carry coverage of the New England Open.
VIDEOTAPING: Videotaping of the Friday evening events and the Saturday daytime events is allowed (battery packs only--no tripods). Videotaping of the Finals is not allowed under any circumstance.
MUSIC BOXES: The competitor is advised that in all divisions which allow music, it is the competitor who is responsible for supplying his/her own music box. The music box must be battery operated. No electrical cords are allowed.
T-SHIRTS AND SOUVENIRS: "New England Open" T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets will be on sale at the souvenir booth.
SEEDING: Seeding in all Black Belt divisions (adult and youth) will occur as per NASKA guidelines with KRANE secondary seeding. No seeding in under Black Belt divisions.
NOTES:
For safety reasons, spectators must not venture into the competition area. Violators will be ushered out by Security. Only competitors awaiting competition or actually competing and Participating officials are allowed in the competition area. No exceptions. Believe this!
